Global 3D Labs proudly presents the inauguration of the B. M. Birla Science Museum on 26 July 2019. The ‘Do it Yourself’ styled competition will be conducted to increase awareness about space technologies through various tools of the Industry 4.0.

Global 3D Labs specializes in -



  • Only 3 categories eligible - Schools , Colleges (Preferably engineers, design & architecture students), Makers
  • Participating teams of 3-5 people
  • Participants in each category will submit ideas based on given themes
  • Submit a 200-250-word write-up
  • Drawing of their ideas
  • Phase 1 is based on the online submissions (write-ups & drawings)
  • Global 3D Labs will showcase the best ideas and train selected teams
  • Equip them with Free Form Designing on Blender Software & 3DPrinting for prototyping ideas.
  • The drawings must be as creative as possible
  • The write-up should be a detailed explanation
  • Selections based on creativity, presentation and practicality of the ideas
  • Selections of the top 3 teams in each category

  • Get trained in Hyderabad on making prototypes for final selections
  • All food & lodging for two candidates from each team will be taken care off by Global 3D Labs
  • The initial training will be available on the website, YouTube channel and Facebook page
  • Participants from round 1 can access designing and prototyping sessions for free
  • Round 2 announcements will be on 26 July 2019
  • 2 finalists in each category will get an advanced course on designing and prototyping
  • They will then create a life size depiction of their ideas at the museum.
  • This is over a 2-month period
  • Training will be available for free to all the finalists
  • A one-time payment for interested students
  • When the final designs are ready and sent for prototyping, the judging panel will review them.
  • Results will be announced in September 2019
  • Cash awards & consolation prizes to be handed out
  • Prototypes of the winners shall be showcased at the 3D Gallery of the Birla Space Museum.


The B M Birla Science Centre is one of the most prestigious institutions in the country for the dissemination of science and has several innovative programmes in the popularization of science and formal and non formal education and research. It is recognized both as an Institute of Higher Education and for R&D.
